I-9 Employment Verification Process

Last updated on May 21, 2023

New Employees & Workstudy Students

Form I-9 is used for verifying the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired for employment in the United States. All U.S. employers must ensure proper completion of Form I-9 for each individual hired. This includes citizens and non-citizens. Both employees and employer must complete the form in Workday. To complete the I-9 verification process for employment, please visit the HR office no later than the third day of your hire date.

If you were hired after March 2020 and verified your documents via zoom, you are required to bring in your acceptable I-9 documents to be verified in-person by June 30, 2023. Mary Aymor-Thuku from Human Resources will be on campus for in-person verifications over the next few weeks. No appointment is needed.

When:

May 22 from 9am - 4pm

May 24 from 9am - 4pm

May 31 from 9am - 4pm

June 12 - June 30 every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9am - 4pm

Where:

Please plan to bring your documents to the 80 Carolina 2nd floor front desk.
