The information below is applicable for coverage through Anthem from August 1, 2022 to July 31, 2023.

Information regarding 2023-2024 coverage through Aetna will be posted later this summer (early July).


Dental and Vision Insurance Coverage: Anthem (2022-2023)

Dental and Vision Insurance (through Anthem Student Advantage) is included for each student that enrolls in the CCA Student Health Insurance Plan.

Students may purchase Anthem Dental and Vision Coverage for their dependents for an additional cost online through our student health insurance brokers at JCB Insurance Solutions (www.jcbins.com).


Accessing your dental and vision benefits (2022-2023)

  • Download the Sydney Health App on your Apple or Android device to get one-click access to benefits info, your member ID card, wellness resources, and find in-network providers. [Note: You may also search for providers by visiting www.anthem.com/ca and selecting the "Find Care" option, then choosing "Basic search as a guest."]
  • ID’s will be in the following format: JDXXXXXXX [JD followed by the student's 7 digit CCA Student ID.]
  • You may visit www.anthem.com or call Anthem directly for more information on your coverage or with questions regarding claims/bills.

  • Find care and check costs: It’s easy to search for doctors, dentists, hospitals, labs and other providers in your plan. You can search by name, location and type of care.
  • View claims: Check dental and vision claims in one click. That means you can spend more time focused on your health and less on managing your health benefits.
  • View and use digital ID cards: You can always have your most current ID card handy. And you can use it just like a paper one when you visit the doctor or dentist, pay for care and more.
  • See all benefits: Sydney shows you essential information at a glance, whether that’s an overview of your plan, health reminders or suggestions for wellness programs. You also can find your deductible, copay and share of costs.
  • Use the interactive chat feature to get answers quickly: Just type your questions in the app and get the info you need quickly. Plus, Sydney can suggest resources to help you understand your benefits, improve your health and save money.

Contact lens allowance will only be applied toward the first purchase of contacts made during a benefit period. Any unused amount remaining cannot be used for subsequent purchases in the same benefit period, nor can any unused amount be carried over to the following benefit period.
