Updated policies

Final reminders about the Pass / No Credit grading option

Students have the option to request that their spring 2020 courses be converted to Pass/No Credit grading. See Pass/No Credit Grading Policies for Spring 2020 and Pass/No Credit FAQs and Final Reminders for full details. Students were able to begin submitting requests via Workday on Monday, March 30; the deadline to submit requests via Workday is 11:59 pm Pacific Time on Friday, May 8.

Students who are considering converting courses to Pass/No Credit grading, especially those who are on Academic Probation, may wish to consider the information on Academic Standing with Spring 2020 Pass/No Credit before finalizing their decisions.

Update addresses in Workday and share email, timezone in Portal Profile

Recently added tags in Workday allow students to identify a non-CCA Home Primary Email and a temporary SP20 Remote Learning Address. Recent updates in the Portal Profile allow students to share information about their local timezone and home email with faculty, staff, and classmates. This information is critical for faculty with instructional delivery, coaches and TAs with instructional support, staff with communication/appointments, and fellow students with collaboration.

Some offices will not communicate with students using a non-CCA email unless it matches information that is in Workday or the Portal.  Some offices will not mail sensitive documents to students unless the mailing address matches the SP20 Remote Learning Address in Workday. For this reason, it is essential that students update their contact information in Workday. It is also very strongly recommended that students make email and timezone information available to CCA Community view (visible to faculty, staff, and students who are logged in to Portal) unless there are specific safety/privacy-related reasons to hide it.

Updated campus access policies

Both CCA campuses are closed until further notice. Campus Access Information is available for students who need to access critically necessary personal items from lockers and studios. Please respect the public health order to stay at home, and do not come to campus unnecessarily.

Campus access does not provide entry to residence halls. Students who have departed from residence halls and left belongings behind are asked not to return to campus to pick them up at this time. This is to limit potential exposure from people coming in and out of the halls. Belongings will remain in students' rooms, and Residential Education staff will provide more information regarding the collection of belongings after the “shelter in place” directive is lifted.

Updated deadlines
